  Many patients prefer the comfort of receiving care at home, whether that home is in an assisted living, independent living or nursing home , hospice is able to provide services and care.

Yes, most hospice providers offer round-the-clock support through on-call staff.  For further clarification, this does not mean a private caregiver is provided by the hospice at the bedside 24/7. 

 Hospice care is for patients with a terminal diagnosis and focuses entirely on comfort, while palliative care can be provided alongside curative treatments at any stage of illness.

Payor sources for Hospice Care is provided by the Medicare Part A benefit.

Additional sources of  pay include Medicaid, some  private insurances, as well as, private pay.

Yes, a patient maintains the right to select their attending.

Hospice provides updates on plan of care to maintain continuity of care.
